Ali & Tooba

we are getting married

5th September 2020

An Unexpected Adventure

So let’s make the best of a strange situation.

Due to the pandemic, we’ve had to make some changes to our wedding. We will be holding a small, intimate nikkah ceremony which is safe for all our guests. Unfortunately, we can’t invite everyone we would like, however it would be lovely if you could join us virtually for the live stream of the nikkah via Zoom.

There’ll be a chance for those on Zoom to speak to the happy couple and send any messages using the guestbook.

Please tap the appropriate button below, and we’ll guide you to the correct page.

We would love it if you could donate on this special day.

We Care Foundation is a grassroots charity aimed at helping those affected by war, famine and poverty in the UK and abroad.

Shine Humanity provides essential healthcare for vulnerable people in Pakistan.

All donations will be split 50/50 between the two charities

Safety Information

We take the safety of our guests seriously and we want everyone to enjoy this joyous occasion, but also reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Here’s what we’re doing:

The ceremony will take place outdoors or in the event of rain, in a ventilated indoor space with portable HEPA filtration.

Seating arrangements will be spaced out to keep existing bubbles intact.

Masks and hand sanitiser will be available to all.

We have adopted a one person per household rule – adherence is key for safety and to keep numbers under the legal limit.

We kindly request that you do not bring any additional guests – however your families are welcome to attend via Zoom.

Complimentary coronavirus tests can be sent to you leading up to the ceremony.

As some of our guests are higher risk, we respectfully request your cooperation in maintaining physical distancing between bubbles at all times.

And most of all, we’ll be putting our firm faith and trust in Allah to make this event safe, joyful and memorable, insha’Allah.
